february fifteenth:

 christian rios took me to get a soda pop and ice cream at a little gas station down the street and the clerk was drawing this squid with a ballpoint pen. we talked with him for a while about his artwork.

i finally saved up enough money to buy a new ae-1. it arrived just as my old ae-1 had reached its final hour--the bottom kept falling off! here is a test roll i shot on february fourth, when joe curtin came for a visit. he's a pretty swell guy, and very funny! we went and hung out at the bidwell's while sean and chris and jonathan practiced and then we went to a cd launch party for my friend's friend, holly pulliam. after the show, joe had to leave to make his driving curfew, but a bunch of other people went to in-n-out with holly where we partied it up until 12.
